The Victoria Jaycees are holding its fourth annual Crossroads Cowboy Classic at the Victoria Community Center and livestock arena on Friday and Saturday. Money raised from the event will help the 13 4-H clubs in Victoria County with dues and other expenses. The Jaycees – a non-profit organization – is bringing three-time PBR finalist and Built Ford Tough PBR Stock contractor JD Nix Rodeo Company. The contractor out of Kerrville will be bringing bucking bulls like Panda Trax and Pretty Boy Floyd. The rodeo will feature bull riding, and includes the traditional pig scramble and mutton bustin’. Reckless Kelly will perform on Saturday night at the Community Center Dome. Presale tickets are $10 at Cavender’s (9205 N. Navarro St.) and The Other Feed Store (2410 Port Lavaca Dr.). Call Robert Shadle at 361-218-6042 to register for the pig scramble and mutton bustin’.
