With the old stress shedding away to make room for a new week of adventure, you are entitled to a moment of rest and relaxation. Maybe one of these drinks can assist you with that:

French ‘75 (original source)
Ingredients:
- 2 oz gin
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 3/4 oz lemon juice
- 4-5 oz champagne
- Lemon twist for garnish
How To:
Add gin, simple syrup and lemon juice to a shaker filled with ice. Shake until the ingredients are all mixed together and cold. Then strain into a highball glass. Top off the whole mixture with Champagne, and if you feel like it, then garnish with a lemon twist.

Fun Fact about the French '75:
The drink got its name from the 75-millimeter artillery the French were using in WWI. This drink has such a kick to it that the phrase to describe it was "like getting hit with a French 75" (as in the giant artillery shell...the 75-millimeter one).

Hemingway Daiquiri (original source)
Ingredients:
- 2 oz white rum
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 1/4 oz maraschino liqueur
- 1.5 to 2 cups shaved ice
How To:
Combine in a blender and frappe until the drink is nice and foamy. Then pour the mixture into a large cocktail glass (or any drinking glass you wish to sip from...even a drinking horn if you so choose). Keep in mind that Maraschino liqueur is not the same thing as the juice in a maraschino cherry jar.

KIXS 108 does not condone underage drinking and encourages you to drink responsibly. Have a safe and fun weekend!
