Lack of success in predicting the results of the 2013 ACM Awards can be attributed to tight competition... or maybe underestimating the strength and popularity of artists like Luke Bryan. Perhaps we're just making excuses for ourselves after a less-than-super success rate at Sunday's show. Taste of Country readers also made predictions, and it's time to see who fared better.

The Country Music Association unveiled the names of this year's Country Music Hall of Fame inductees at a press conference held in the Hall's rotunda. Two legendary artists, and a legendary songwriter/producer will soon have their plaques on the walls of that same rotunda, joining the ranks of Country music royalty. This year's inductees are:

Stevie Wonder, John Mayer and John Fogerty were among those who made surprise guest appearances at the 2013 ACM Awards on Sunday (April 7). Perhaps more interesting, however, is who wasn't in attendance. Fans were left asking about a lack of screen time for three big country singers after Luke Bryan accepted Entertainer of the Year and credits rolled across the screen.

Superstars played it safe, while country newcomers took chances that mostly paid off to make the Best Dressed List at the 2013 ACM Awards in Las Vegas. Keith Urban, Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift looked great, but all three came with looks fans have seen before. Newcomers like Scotty McCreery and Easton Corbin showed the style this season calls for.

Keith Urban presented the Female Vocalist of the Year award to the dazzling Miranda Lambert at the 2013 ACMs, and she was completely surprised by the win. "I thought for sure Carrie had it this year, and she damn well deserves it!" she said as she took the stage... and broke into tears.

In a surprise upset, Luke Bryan took home the coveted Entertainer of the Year award at the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night (April 7) -- beating out more established stars like Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift.

The Academy of Country Music Awards telecast on Sunday night (April 7) is shaping up to be quite an event. In addition to all of the great live acts already announced, pop musician John Mayer has been added to the lineup, joining Brad Paisley for a joint performance on the show.

Taylor Swift and the Band Perry are among the artists nominated for the 2013 Billboard Milestone award. The newly-announced multi-genre award will be handed out at the Billboard Music Awards in May.
