Mega superstars Garth Brooks and George Strait gave a once-in-a-lifetime performance at the 2013 ACMs on Sunday night (April 7), singing together for the first time ever in tribute to Dick Clark.

Reba McEntire introduced the pair, recalling Clark as someone who helped shape her career over the years. "He would slap me if he saw me crying out here right now," she said.

Brooks came out and delivered a sensitive, understated version of 'The Dance' before introducing Strait, who sang his hit 'The Cowboy Rides Away' with Brooks joining in on harmony vocals.

Both men are past recipients of the ACM Artist of the Decade award, which has been re-named the ACM Dick Clark Artist of the Decade award in memory of the departed music business legend.
