I find myself saying more and more, "We live in such amazing times!" South Texas is no stranger to drought conditions, but what do you do when the area in which you live receives an average of less than half an inch of rain per year? Check out what some enterprising engineers in Lima, Peru did to help get drinkable water to more residents of this "coastal desert" city!

According to the description posted with the video on YouTube:

The billboard pictured here is real, it's located in Lima, Peru, and it produces around 100 liters of water a day (about 26 gallons) from nothing more than humidity, a basic filtration system and a little gravitational ingenuity.

Now, just imagine what dozens of even hundreds of these things--strategically placed--could do for the arid or drought-stricken places around the planet? Kinda makes you wonder what they'll think of next. I'm still waiting on those flying cars the Jetsons had!
