The Victoria Bach Festival will host a different kind of musical event Friday at the Spring Creek Event Center. To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, the popular classical music nonprofit group will host an evening of dinner, a performance by the Blaggards and a chance win some green at the St. Partick's Eve-Eve Party.

The newest member of the group, fiddle player Bonnie Riley, is a Victoria native who kicked off touring with the Houston-based group in Swords, North Dublin, Ireland, according to the band's website and the Victoria Advocate. The four-piece Irish rock band will perform their interpretations of traditional tunes including "Irish Rover," "Whiskey In The Jar" and "Rocky Road To Dublin," according to a news release.

Friday's St. Partick's Eve-Eve Party will benefit the Bach Festival's music and education programs. Tickets are $75 each and include dinner, live entertainment and an open bar.
