Having a child with cancer is something no parent should have to ever go through. But if we can make it a little easier and help raise funds for a cure, why not? Dina and Jeremy Hardwick hosted the first annual St. Baldrick’s Foundation event last year and had amazing success at Schroeder Hall. The goal last year was $10,000 and the event raised $21,000. This year goal is $25,000! Make plans to come out and show these kids how awesome our community really is.

The second annual St. Baldrick’s Foundation is March 6th at Schroeder Hall. The event will start at noon and include food, fun, and live music all for a good cause. There will also be a silent auction to help raise money.

For more information, contact Dina Hardwick, lead organizer, if you would like to participate or donate. She may be reached by email at: dina.hardwick@yahoo.com. If you would like to donate please click here. If you would like to donate an item for the silent auction please contact Melissa Rivera or Ann Brogger. Additionally, if you know a child who has been touched by cancer in the Crossroads area that would like to be honored at the event, please email Dina.

St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer driven charity that raises money to fund pediatric cancer research. A large portion of the funds raised directly benefit children in Texas receiving treatment in Houston and the other large health care centers in the state. Participants commit to shave their heads in solidarity of children receiving chemotherapy who have lost their hair while raising money in the process.
