Wynonna Judd has a new record label home. After releasing her most recent album with Curb Records, Judd and her band the Big Noise are on the roster of the independent record label Anti.

Judd revealed her signing to Anti on Wednesday (Jan. 30). A sister label to Epitaph -- a punk rock-focused record label -- Anti's roster of past and current acts includes Billy Bragg, Dr. Dog, Kate Bush, Merle Haggard, Porter Wagoner, the Milk Carton Kids and more.

“Now more than ever, I am on a mission to rediscover the reason I got into this business,” Judd says in a press release, “and Anti is giving me the musical freedom to do that.”

To Rolling Stone, Judd adds that the Los Angeles-based Anti Records "gives me room."

"I feel like they get me and they understand that I’m literally one minute listening to Bessie Smith and then the next minute Ann Wilson and Emmylou Harris," she continues. "It’s crazy. My greatest challenge this year will be focus.”

After spending several years as part of the Judds with her mother, Naomi Judd, Wynonna Judd released her debut solo album, Wynonna, in 1992, after the duo disbanded following the elder Judd's diagnosis with hepatitis C. In total, Judd released eight solo projects with Curb Records, and notched a number of hit singles.

According to Rolling Stone, Judd is currently at work on new music. She and her husband, Cactus Moser, have a recording studio on their farm in Tennessee where they've been working, and Judd's new team at Anti is looking to give the artist more freedom.

"I think there was a time in my career where I felt like I was having to oil the machine and keep it cranking," Judd says. "Now, I just want to really get away with as much as possible.”

In conjunction with the announcement of her new record deal, Judd has released an a cappella cover of Nina Simone's "Feeling Good." She recorded the song in her living room, straight into her iPhone; readers can press play below to listen.
