When we go to waterparks in Texas, we enter the park, find a spot, put our stuff down at a table, and leave. It's just understood that others will know that that spot is now reserved and will not mess with your stuff. That is just the way it is in Texas. However, one woman from California did not know this and was shocked that people could be so respectful of other people's belongings.

Just claim your spot and enjoy the park.

In a video posted to TikTok by psychollly!, she is utterly shocked at how Texans act at water parks. She ends the video with "...and that is why we moved to Texas!" I guess living in Texas, we have never worried about leaving stuff unattended at the tables.

@psychollly I know ya’ll hate transplants… but imagine having to CLENCH your purse everywhere you went. IF you even felt safe enough to go I’m all about staying vigilant, but it’s exhausting (and disheartening) never being able to let your guard down, anywhere. Everyone deserves to live in a place that they feel comfortable #doitforyourfamily #CAtoTX #texas #california #waterpark #summer #crime #safety #comfortable #family ♬ Feels Like Summer - Samuel Jack

It's not clear what waterpark she was at, but this is standard behavior in Texas! Welcome to Texas!

We miss Splashtown in San Antonio.

Splashtown in San Antonio was one that always flew under the radar. All the big thrills without the lines and the prices. They were always overshadowed by Schlitterbahn, Aquatica in SeaWorld, which made it the perfect water park destination. The site was totally demolished to make way for a new car dealership. We miss you, Splashtown San Antonio.
