Victoria Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week
Have you ever received what turned out to be a counterfeit bill? I didn't think this kind of thing happened very often, especially with the security measures used on currency but, apparently it does. In fact, that's the issue at hand in this week's Victoria crime Stoppers Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week.
Victoria Crime Stoppers is looking for information about a forgery that occurred last September. According to police, a woman used a counterfeit $50 bill to purchase a cell phone from another woman. They agreed to the purchase in the parking lot of a local convenience store where the woman was recorded by cameras at the store.
Lesson #1: If somebody is meeting you in the parking lot of a business to make a sale, there may be something fishy going on.
