Texas Teen Tragically Shot in the Head By Taco Truck Hit Man

In a startling development that has shaken the Houston community, a Katy man revealed he was hired to shoot up a Taco truck.

UNRELATED ARREST LEADS TO A SHOCKING CONFESSION 

According to prosecutors, Jeremy Hartman was purportedly hired to carry out a shooting at a taco truck in southwest Houston. This shocking revelation came to light following Hartman's recent arrest on unrelated charges.

The incident, which occurred on November 3, 2022, unfolded when a gray Cadillac approached a taco truck located in the 8700 block of S. Braeswood near Gessner. According to police reports, shots were fired from the vehicle, tragically striking 19-year-old employee Sergio Chavez in the head, while his father narrowly escaped harm.

Investigators quickly turned their attention to Hartman as a potential suspect in the weeks following the attack. However, it wasn't until after his February 8 arrest for marijuana possession that Hartman was formally charged in connection with the taco truck shooting.

SECRET CONFESSION TO A WITNESS

During a court hearing, Assistant District Attorney Alexander Fryer shared a startling accusation: Hartman had allegedly confessed to a witness that he had been compensated to execute the shooting. Despite these claims, Hartman's attorney, Brian LaVine, vehemently denies any involvement by his client in such a plot, questioning the delay in bringing charges against him.

Hartman faces a charge of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury for the attack on the taco truck, among three other pending felony cases related to separate incidents of alleged violence and aggression.

Hartman is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.
