It's Victoria Symphony's free live concert event, Downtown Rhythms April 22nd to feature live music from local musicians of all ages. Free family fun downtown.

Jazz music was a big part of my life growing up, thanks to my Dad. While my own tastes have changed over the years to include rock, blues and jazz fusion, I still love the traditional sound of a great jazz band. Live jazz is what it's all about this Thursday (April 23) with the Victoria Symphony's Downtown Rhythms.

Downtown Victoria will come alive with the sounds of the Victoria Symphony during its 17th annual Downtown Rhythms. The free event begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday as the symphony plus area school ensembles and bands perform under the awning of One O'Connor Plaza.

This year's Downtown Rhythms is bringing the sounds of Academy Award-winning movie "Les Miserables" to DeLeon and O'Connor plazas.

I love this time of year. There is literally more to do than you can make time for. What a great problem to have. I do suggest, however, you take time to enjoy beautiful downtown Victoria this Thursday evening during 'Downtown Rhythms'.
