Strange New Beer Coming Just in Time for St. Patrick’s Day
What's more Irish than drinking a Guinness or a fine Irish whiskey to celebrate St. Patrick's Day? How about a new craft beer that's not from Ireland, but has one of the strangest ingredients ever?
Lucky Charms cereal. Yep, that's right. That cereal we grew up with featuring the Leprechaun with pink moons, orange stars, green clovers and what ever else I can't remember is now an ingredient of a beer called Saturday morning Marshmallow IPA, and it debuts this weekend.
The makers of the brew Smartmouth Beer of Norfolk, VA say it's made with pounds of marshmallows, some toasted, along with tropical fruity Calypso hops
According to the company's Facebook post
Join us as we flashback to those Saturday Mornings when you rolled out of bed and were lazy all morning watching your favorite cartoons and playing video or board games. We’ll celebrate those mornings with the release of Saturday Morning IPA that is made with pounds of marshmallows, some of which we toasted, along with tropical fruity Calypso hops. The result is magically ridiculous."
