Site Plans Filed for ANOTHER Dollar General in Victoria

Many of the Dollar Generals that have recently popped up are located outside of the city limit in the middle of nowhere.  The Dollar Generals in town are near neighborhoods that have no major grocery stores near them.  All the new constructions are basic and have the same setup and when they move into an existing location, they normally take over a location off the beaten path which means it is cheaper. Such as the Dollar General location on Lone Tree and Moody St(formerly Dick's Food Stores)

If you grew up in Victoria, chances are you have been to a  Dick's Food Store. Either you worked or shopped at one of three original locations: Crestwood, West End (Moody St.), or Lone Tree. My family has a connection to Dick's Food Store. It was my second job out of high school. I sacked groceries and worked produce at the Moody Street location. My dad and grandpa also worked for Dick's at the Crestwood location.
