We will file this under "not fit to be a parent." A San Antonio woman has been arrested after she allegedly left her three children in a car that was locked and turned off for almost an hour. The temperature outside at the time of the incident was in the upper 90's. 

WOAI reports that a bystander called the San Antonio police stating there were three children in a locked vehicle that was turned off.  Three children were removed from the vehicle; a one-month-old, a two-year-old, and a four-year-old. It is estimated they were in the car for about 50 minutes.

The mother of the children, Angela Garza-Amador, was arrested at the scene. She  claimed she did not realize how long she was in the store. She was arrested on three counts of child endangerment. The children were transported to the hospital and are expected to recover.

According to Livescience.com, Within 1 hour, the temperature inside of a car parked in the sun on a day that reached 95 degrees Fahrenheit  or hotter, hit an average of 116 degrees. The dashboard temperature reached an incredible 157 degrees. The steering wheel hit 127 degrees while the seats hit a temperatures of 123. All of the mentioned numbers are an average.
