Monster Bash and Dash at Calhoun Air Center

The Calhoun Air Center is having its second annual Monster Bash from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the airport, 4876 Farm-to-Market Road 3084, Port Lavaca.

Dress up and trick or treat with your favorite monsters. Roam around with scary goblins and ghouls and enjoy the haunted house. Start the morning off at 7:30 a.m. with the Monster Dash - 5K Run/Walk, followed by plenty of events for all ages. The Victoria Advocate says there will be Young Eagles Flights, face painting, moon walks, hay rides, pumpkin decorating contests, music, arts and crafts and food vendors.

The EAA Victoria Chapter will give children ages 8 to 17 free airplane rides via the Young Eagles program. End the night with a costume contest. Don't forget to decorate your vehicle for the Trunk or Treat. There will be several competitions for pilots, a golf ball drop and spot landing competitions.
