Even a little after 5 AM today, people were standing in line for Lotto Tickets at the gas station near the radio station. Since there was no winner on Saturday, the Texas Lotto Jackpot has rolled over and we are looking at a shot to score $44 Million at a few minutes after 10 PM tonight.

You have to go way back to 2010 the last time the Lotto Jackpot was above $50 Million. The May 29th drawing in 2010 was for a $97 Million dollar jackpot. Gary Grief is the top dog over that the Texas Lottery Commission and issued a press release saying, "Jackpots this large generate a lot of excitement, so I want to remind our players to play responsibly. It only takes one ticket to win. I hope to congratulate the biggest Lotto Texas jackpot winner in over a decade after Wednesday night’s drawing.”

Some people are very particular about where and when they will buy a lotto ticket. Do you have any lotto superstitions? Do you only buy from 1 location? Do you play the same numbers every time like a birthday or anniversary?

The biggest drawing to take place in the history of the Texas Lotto dates back to 2004. The jackpot was the largest ever at $145 Million. The winning ticket was purchased in El Paso that year and claimed by someone from VOM Enterprises.

You can purchase a ticket up until 10:02 PM this evening with the drawing following at 10:12 PM.
