I can’t begin to tell you how many times I drove around and asked, “When did THAT open?” New places, especially restaurants, have been popping up all year long. Weekend lunch was always been the same, but suddenly, we’ve got options.
I realized Victoria added a lot of new places in 2025, the same way everyone else did: by accidentally ending up at them. I didn’t read about most of these openings; I just drove past them, or someone said, “We went there last weekend,” and suddenly it was busy every time I drove by.
All year long, new spots have popped up around town and quickly become part of the routine. Some of these spots were brand new to town. Others were names people already knew that finally got a real, permanent home, like Seaux Cajun.
It doesn’t look like this pace is slowing down in 2026.
If 2025 was the year Victoria started feeling noticeably busier, then 2026 looks like it’s going to keep that momentum going. There have already been major announcements pointing to even more growth on the way. Get ready, because Five Below, Ulta, and Burlington Factory might be the next major openings in 2026.
