A recent study has named the most congested roads in Texas, and number one should be no surprise.
Texas A&M Transportation Institute Studied The Busiest Roads In Texas
Their findings weren't too surprising. The most congested and busiest roads in Texas are in our major cities. Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin held several spots on the list. However, only one could claim the top spot.
For the second year in a row, the most congested road in Texas belonged to Houston. Houston's West Loop dominated the list of the most congested roads in Texas. If you've ever driven in Houston, you know exactly how crazy it can be.
There's A Little Bit Of Good News To Be Had For Texas Commuters
The report did point out that overall traffic delays were actually down overall compared to previous years, even with a slight increase in the year before. From 2021 to 2022, there was a slight increase. However, when compared to 2019, delays were still down quite a bit. That's got to be something to celebrate, right?
It doesn't change the fact that being stuck in a traffic jam, or congestion sucks and most of us would rather have the world's most painful hangnail than sit in traffic. Hopefully, the trend of decreased delays continues and we all find a way to get where we're going with our peace intact.
