It's time to get your beads on for an epic Mardi Gra celebration and you don't have to drive to Nola to do it! It's the Mardi "Draw" celebration with live music, fine art, a gumbo competition, and lots and lots of beads!

Hosted by the Victoria Art League it's Mardi Draw 2022 and it promises to be epic!

Did you know Mardi Gras dates back thousands of years? Yep, Mardi Gras is actually a Christian holiday AND a popular cultural phenomenon! Known as "Carnaval" it’s celebrated all over the world, especially in larger Catholic populations. Countries like Brazil and Venice as well as NOLA  (or New Orleans if you're a newbie) in the U.S. play host to some of the biggest celebrations. Well, thanks to the Victoria Art League, we are well on the way to being the Mardi Gras celebration central in South Texas!

Mardi Draw 2022 will be celebrated in the Crossroads on Saturday, February 26th with doors opening up at 6 pm.

Never been to a Mardi Draw event at the Victoria Art League before?

You've been missing out! But that is okay, we're here to tell you all about the fun! First, your ticket price, $60 per person or $100 for a couple, goes directly back to the Victoria Art League, which means you've just supported the community's art scene with your ticket purchase. Speaking of art, it's really the highlight of the night with artwork throughout the VAL for purchase. Your ticket price also gets you a seat at a table for a night of great jazz music and lots and lots of gumbo as well as enjoying a great silent auction.

What should I wear? Whatever you want!

In the spirit of Mardi Gra, you can go all out and we've seen it all!
