The Victoria Symphony presents concert violinist Hye-Jin Kim at the Victoria Fine Arts Center. Kim, the winner of the 2009 Concert Artists Guild Competition, has performed with various symphony orchestras across the nation, including the New York's Greenwich Village Orchestra, East Carolina University Orchestra and Arizona Chamber Music Society, according to a news release from the Victoria Symphony. The Korean-born musician will perform along side the Victoria Symphony Orchestra group as it continues to celebrate its 40th anniversary with an exploration of great composers and orchestrators, says the Victoria Advocate. Saturday's program will include music from composers Richard Strauss, Gregory Smith and Antonin Dvorak with direction by Darryl One, Victoria Symphony music director.

"To hear these two works is to say that you have really heard a symphony orchestra," One said in the release.

Tickets are on sale at the Victoria Symphony office, 2112 N. Navarro St., or online at victoriasymphony.com.
