Jo Dee Messina has debuted a brand-new song, "Bigger Than This," inspired by her battle with cancer. The singer shared the song during a performance on Huckabee on Saturday night (April 7); readers can press play above to watch.

"Bigger Than This," Messina previously shared, was created in collaboration with Full Circle Music producers Seth Mosley and X O Connor. The song is available for download here.

"In the summer of 2017, I was facing struggles with my health, personal life and finances. It seemed like everything was crashing in around me," Messina says of "Bigger Than This." "My heart was really moved, not to focus on the chaos of life, but the bigness of God. At that point and from that place of praise and worship came this song."

Messina first revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer in September. As Messina shared with a Nashville radio station earlier this year, her cancer diagnosis, surgery and treatment tested her faith and included some financial and emotional struggles; however, she recently began performing again and is feeling well.

Messina released her debut studio album, a self-titled project, in 1996; her last studio release, Me, came in 2014. Her best-known singles include "Heads Carolina, Tails California," "I'm Alright" and "My Give a Damn's Busted."
