I'm not sure I know anyone that 'enjoys' going to the doctor. Let's face it, in most cases a trip to the doctor means you are suffering from some sort of health problem. A lot of times, a trip to the doctor's office can be rather hurried. Questions may not always get answered, or asked for that matter. Sara Fontenot, a national speaker on health law, will provide a free presentation with information on how and what you should be asking your physician.

According to the Victoria Advocate, the presentation is part of Citizens Medical Center's HealthWise, a community education service, and will be at 6 p.m. on Aug. 1.

Doctors and nurses are full of useful information that many patients may not know about, either because they don't ask or they don't know how to ask. Fontenot's focus will be on getting the most out of each visit in order to keep on top of changes in health care and remain in the best health.

The seminar takes place from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on August 1st at the Citizens Medical Center, 2701 Hospital Drive. Admission is free but seating is limited. To reserve a seat or for more information, call HealthWise at 361-578-9473.
