TX Woman Attacked By Boyfriend After Refusing to Shower with Him
A TROUBLING RECORD
28-year-old Henry Marquis Ybarbo and his girlfriend had been together for four months and shared an apartment in San Antonio.
Ybarbo had a lengthy criminal history including endangering a child, multiple drug violations, theft of a firearm, tampering with government records, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
HIS LIVING SITUATION
Ybarbo and his girlfriend were at home when he requested something from her.
Ybarbo decided he wanted to take a shower and asked his girlfriend to join him. His girlfriend did not want to shower with him and refused when asked.
Ybarbo became increasingly upset and approached the woman.
FILLED WITH RAGE
Enraged about the refusal, Ybarbo struck his girlfriend. He beat her several times, hitting her in the face, head, and arms.
The punches were so hard she began to swell and bruise in multiple areas.
Terrified, she escaped from the apartment and found a bench outside of the apartment complex to sit on. Ybarbo found her on the bench and began to threaten her.
A SECOND ATTACK
With a small kitchen knife in one hand, Ybarbo demanded she hand over her cell phone. Complying with his demand, she handed her phone over but Ybarbo was not finished. He began attacking her again, punching and hitting her with the knife still in his hand.
A THIRD ATTACK
The two went back into their apartment, arguing along the way. Once inside Ybarbo attacked her once more. Without a phone, the woman left the apartment and found a way to call for police.
Ybarbo left before the police arrived and managed to take his girlfriend's phone and laptop with him. According to records, Ybarbo was found and taken to jail soon after.
Ybarbo’s bond was set at $75,000 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge after the event last Thursday.
