Dierks Bentley Hosting ACM Charity Concert and Motorcycle Ride
Dierks Bentley is finalizing the details for the ACM Charity Motorcycle Ride and Concert, which will be held on April 18 as part of the 2015 ACM Awards celebrations. The singer will host the event.
The ride will start at motorcycle dealerships in Dallas and Grand Prairie, Texas. Will Hoge will play at the Dallas kickoff, while Joey Hyde will get folks fired up in Grand Prairie. Both rides will end in Carrolltown, Texas, where riders will be able to enjoy performances by Bentley, Montgomery Gentry, James Otto, Dee Jay Silver, Thompson Square and several others. Former Dallas Stars player Craig Ludwig will oversee the event as emcee.
“One of the first times I was in Las Vegas for the ACMs, I did the Lifting Lives motorcycle ride, and it was fun,” Bentley explains in the above clip. “This year, we have some time on Saturday, so I’m going to get a bike out there and do some riding and raise money for a great cause. It’s fun. When you can ride motorcycles and actually help make money by riding motorcycles, that’s such a win-win situation."
Proceeds from the charity concert and motorcycle ride will be given to ACM Lifting Lives, a non-profit group which seeks to improve lives through the power of music.
In addition to overseeing the charity event, Bentley will be performing at the ACM Party for a Cause alongside Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt and more. Bentley is nominated for categories at the ACM Awards, including for Male Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year for his hit "I Hold On."
Tickets for the ACM Motorcycle Charity Ride and Concert are available now at the ACM website for only $75. The 2015 ACM Awards will air on April 19.
