Crossroads Teen Shines at Junior World Skeet Championship
CUERO, TX– Connor Thigpen, a 15-year-old rising star in the world of competitive shooting based in Cuero, showcased his exceptional skills at the 2024 Junior World Skeet Championships, held July 26-28 in Jacksonville, FL. Competing against dozens of young sharpshooters from across the country, Thigpen's performance stood out as a testament to his dedication and talent in the sport.
The Junior World Skeet Championships is a highly anticipated event that draws some of the best young shooters, all vying for the top spot in a challenging and competitive environment. This year, the competition was particularly fierce, with participants demonstrating remarkable precision and focus.
Despite the high stakes, Thigpen remained composed, delivering impressive rounds that highlighted his hard work and preparation. In a news story from a media outlet in Jacksonville, Thigpen shared, “This past year in the 20 gauge, I won the Open World Championship in San Antonio,” Thigpen said. “Against everybody including adults like anybody from people my age to I guess 60. I guess old people do this sport too.”
