Carly Pearce’s Sophomore Album Is Coming on Valentine’s Day

Carly Pearce's sophomore album is coming on Valentine's Day 2020. The country singer revealed the news on Tuesday (Nov. 5).

According to an Instagram post from Pearce, her second record will be a self-titled project, a reflection of a new-found sense of self. "So much has happened to me in the last few years," the artist reflects.

"Y’all have changed my life and given my music a home in this world," adds Pearce, who rose to fame following the release of her breakthrough single, "Every Little Thing," in 2017. "I grew up, let go of things that needed to go, fell in love, fell on my face, went through some hell and found 'Carly' fully for the first time EVER."

Pearce has not released the full track list for Carly Pearce just yet, but the album will include her two recent singles, "Closer to You" and "I Hope You're Happy Now," the latter of which is a duet with Lee Brice. Fans who pre-save the project on Spotify will be able to listen to those songs immediately.

Carly Pearce was produced by busbee, the well-known producer who died of cancer in late September. According to Pearce, her album is the final full album on which he worked, and, as such, she is dedicating it to him.

"Thank you for bringing these songs to life," Pearce writes to busbee in her Instagram post. "I can’t wait to honor you and hear / see how people connect to what we created."

Pearce released her major-label debut album, Every Little Thing, in late 2017; its title track hit No. 1, and its other single, "Hide the Wine," went to the country Top 15. In additional to the professional success she's experienced since releasing her first album, Pearce also fell in love with and married fellow country artist Michael Ray.
