Buc-ee’s in Alabama Faces Lawsuit Over Low Gas Prices
Jeez, you try to do something nice, and what does it get you? In Alabama, it gets you sued.
The first Buc-ee's store outside of the Lone Star State that opened just a few weeks ago in Alabama, now faces a suit because it's gas prices were too low. Wait, what???
True story. The store priced a gallon of regular unleaded gas at $1.79, and competitor Oasis Travel Center, LLC filed suit last week on the basis that the prices violate a state law, the 'Alabama Motor Fuel Marketing Act,' which states that gas cannot be sold for under $2 a gallon. Oasis calls Buc-ee's pricing strategy 'unfair and predatory.'
You've got to be kidding. Now there's another reason why Texas is waaay better than Alabama.
