Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas do a lot more than sell cookies. They are a huge part of our community and continuously strive to educate the female youth in our area. This week, Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas is hosting two basic aid training sessions for girls from kindergarten through fifth grade. Participants will learn simple first aid, CPR and how to use an AED device. The girls will learn many safety rules and how to respond in an emergency. The training will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Victoria Girl Scout Office, 104 W. River St. The fee is $15 per girl and covers both classes, snacks, materials and a small first aid kit. For more information, please call 361-573-6451.
