A Texas Teen’s Trip Through a Whataburger Drive-Thru Gets Him Arrested
This Texas Teen had no idea that a drive-thru trip at Whataburger would lead to his arrest. As reported by texomashomepage.com, Donovan Meadows, 17, was arrested Tuesday, April 5, 2022, and charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and unlawful possession of a firearm. His bonds total $2,500.
HERE IS HOW IT HAPPENED:
According to the article, two Drug Enforcement Division investigators of the Wichita County District Attorney’s Office were eating Whataburger in their car in Tyler, Texas. At that one point, one of them had a question about how many calories were in a biscuit. Since the lobby was closed, he walked up to the drive-thru window to ask the question. The investigator smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from a car in the drive-thru.
FORGET ABOUT THE FOOD:
This is when the authorities forgot about their food and jumped into action. They pulled the car over as it was exiting the drive-thru. When an investigator asked the driver, later identified as Meadows, how much marijuana was in the car, Meadows replied, “this much” and handed authorities a joint that was still burning. The driver also let authorities know there may be a gun in the car because his sister had a license to carry. A black Glock was underneath the driver's seat.
THE ULTIMATE WHATABURGER:
Back in September, this massive Whataburger started to make the rounds on social media. It was a massive 4,500 calories that featured a total of TEN MEAT PATTIES, 4 PIECES OF MONTERREY JACK CHEESE, 4 SLICES OF AMERICAN CHEESE, AND 9 PIECES OF BACON!
