An 11-year-old boy is doing a little more than detention this past Sunday in Baton Rouge, LA.  Most students could relate to stealing a little yellow No.2 pencil once in their lifetime, but one 11-year old boy took it a bit further this past Sunday and stole a big yellow school bus.

According to a report by KLFY.com Baton Rouge Police Department Spokesman, L'Jean McKneely said the boy took police on a 45-minute chase, zipping past officers and taunting them along the way. Luckily, there was no real damage to the boy or any other person because that could have quickly escalated into a disastrous event.

On Sunday, October 11, one bold, curious, and quite mischievous little boy took it upon himself to break into a privately owned head start school bus. He drove the bus off private property and went for a joy ride. During the chase, the boy was seen by officers and bystanders laughing while zooming past other vehicles. During the police chase, the boy was seen taunting and flicking off officers. The chase eventually ended after the bus crashed in front of a home in a neighborhood. Homeowner Libby Smith was in shock and disbelief when she saw the bus on her very own front lawn, followed by the boy getting arrested. “It was just unbelievable to see something like that,” Smith said.

When asked why he stole the school bus, his only response was, "he just felt like it" maybe he was just trying to live his best life. That is until he was taken into custody.
