Man has dreamt of flight since.. well... ever since man first existed. After all, if birds can do it, why can't we? We can! Saturday, if you are between the ages of 8 and 17, you have a chance to experience the magic of flight!

The Victoria County chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association is holding the Victoria Young Eagle rally from 8-10 a.m. Saturday at the Victoria Regional Airport, 609 Foster Field Drive, says the Victoria Advocate. Young people ages 8 to 17 can experience aviation from "the best seat in the house." The 10-15 minute flights over downtown Victoria are meant to expose young people to aviation and the opportunities available both in the cockpit and in the aviation industry. All flights are conducted by fully licensed pilots in both vintage and contemporary aircraft.

In the event of rain on Saturday morning, the makeup time will be the same day from 2-4 p.m.

So that the pilots can plan properly, RSVPs are required and may be made to membership@eaa340.org. For further information, contact the chapter president, Aaron Dabney, at 254-366-3449.
