Texas Country Spotlight

In case you don't know, I am a huge Texas Country and Red Dirt music fan, and about two years ago I introduced the Texas Two Step segment on weekday mornings at 9:35. It has become a huge hit in that time slot.   At this time, I wish to push forward and feature a little more Texas Country on KIXS 108 and introduce a new segment called the Texas Country Spotlight.  This will feature interviews and brand new music from up and coming and established Texas Country and Red Dirt artists.  Our first Texas Country Spotlight interview, later this month, will feature Drew Fish.  I also recently started our New Artist Showcase, which will introduce you to new local and regional talent with a VIP showcase on our all new Bud Light Performance Center stage.  Our recent showcased artists were Mason Lively and Mario Morales. Tickets for these VIP performances are not for sale, so be listening to win your way in.  Live music and Texas Country music are something I have a passion for and I want to share this with our listeners of KIXS 108.
