It's a 'Juneteenth' Celebration at the Museum of the Coastal Bend! Celebrate freedom in Texas with games and activities for the whole community. Saturday, June 20th, from 10am to 4pm at the corner of Red River and Ben Jordan streets in Victoria.

The Children's Discovery Museum is hosting a Community Health and Safety Day. This event is free to the public & the first 200 people will receive a grab bag. Community organizations will gather on Thursday starting at 10am to teach the Golden Crescent all about proper health and safety techniques.

Pitching was the key for the Victoria Generals, who edged the Acadiana Cane Cutters 2-1 yesterday. Stuart Springer notched the victory, going 6 full innings, while Brett Burrington wrapped up the game in the final 3. Springer threw 5 shutout innings giving up just 3 hits, but in the 6th, it was errors that allowed the Cane Cutters their only run.
