October 1, 2012 Each year the Empty Bowls Project raises thousands of dollars to help alleviate hunger in Victoria. Potters are needed now to help create bowls for next year's event. Victoria College is calling all potters to help create soup bowls for its ninth annual Victoria Empty Bowls event scheduled each February.
October 1, 2012 Warrior's Weekend is presenting "The Parade That Never Was," honoring Vietnam veterans, at 10 a.m. Oct. 13 in downtown Victoria. Vietnam veterans and veterans from the Vietnam era, as well as Gold Star families who lost loved ones in the Vietnam War, are invited to participate in the parade.
