Victoria College's Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts has announced the lineup of cinema offerings for summer 2014. "Victoria College has made great technological improvements at the Welder Center during the last 2.5 years, and the cinema projector is one of the most exciting of those advances," Sue Prudhomme, VC's director of cultural affairs, told the Victoria Advocate. "It will allow us to expand our offering of programs that contribute to the cultural life of our community."

A complete schedule of summer cinema is available at weldercenter.org. Programming begins at 3:30 p.m. Thursday with a 2013 Disney blockbuster film, "Frozen," in which participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Disney movie character as they sing along with Queen Elsa and Olaf. The schedule continues with one cinema event each week through August. Ticket prices vary according to licensing fees, with some film screenings offering free admission.
