The Shiner Gaslight Theatre, 802 Avenue E, Shiner, will present "Welcome Home," a play by Marty Davis, as the 2014 summer production. This comedy involves the homecoming of Daniel Frame who returns after eleven months in a veterans hospital from a nervous breakdown brought on by guilt. He thinks he has wrecked his daughter's marriage. He is joined by family friends, John Barnett and Willie Perkins, also released that day. Clever dialogue and heartwarming scenes create a light and lively performance with many laughs.

Auditions for "Welcome Home" will take place May 6 at 7 p.m. and May 11 at 2 p.m, as reported by the Victoria Advocate. There are parts for four men and three women. Age ranges are from incoming high school freshmen to 70 years old. Performance dates are tentatively set for early August. Michael Lawrence is director.
