In a mysterious tragedy, Houston Police discovered the bodies of a man and wife inside their home.

FAMILY MEMBERS BECAME WORRIED

Houston police walked into the home off Gessner Road early Wednesday morning. Around 6:30 am family members of a man living in a home with his wife after becoming seriously worried.

The 60-something-year-old man had talked to a family member and began according to Houston Police department officials, the man had expressed suicidal thoughts. Family members called the police to check in on the man.

WALKING INTO THE BEDROOM

When HPD arrived at the man's house they walked inside and made a startling discovery. Inside the master bedroom were the man in his 60s and his 50-something-year-old wife, both dead.

The couple each had a gunshot wound, which police would later believe to have been intentional. Dte. Sgt. Blake Rodgers explained, "There are notes left by both individuals." Other pieces of evidence lead police to believe the couple's deaths were an agreed-upon coordinated decision.

UNDERLYING ISSUES

Jeff Ehling from ABC 13 asked, "Were there any health concerns or anything like that? Or any financial concerns? I mean, was there an underlying cause for this?," Det. Sgt. Blake Roberts replied, "We don't know that information at this time."
