Houston Astros Wrap Up AL West Beating Seattle 7-1

How about those Astros! They've pretty much led the American League West all year, and instead of losing steam late in the season, the Astros are still playing well and they beat the Seattle Mariners 7-1 to ice the division title.

Justin Verlander, who was just acquired from the Detroit Tigers, marked his first start at Minute Maid Park by striking out 10 batters, while Derek Fisher, Marwin Gonzales, George Springer and Carlos Correa all hit homers.

The Astros also became the first team in Major League Baseball to win 3 division titles in different divisions. This year also marks the 2nd playoff run for the team in 3 years, after a long 10 year playoff drought.
