Dolly Parton surprised Pentatonix during their televised holiday show A Pentatonix Christmas Special on NBC on Wednesday evening (Dec. 14). During the broadcast, the country legend invited the singers to her dressing room where she had a gift for each of them.

The holidays would not be complete without some ugly holiday sweaters, so Parton made sure to share the Christmas spirit with her fellow artists. "I thought you'd love them! They're sweaters of many colors," Parton exclaimed. "Christmas is about friends and sharing and love and you all know I love you."

Some members were a bit thrown off by the bright colored sweaters — they're frequently seen wearing all black ensembles — but they were gracious in accepting Parton's gifts. Realizing they came empty handed, Pentatonix asked what wish they could fulfill for Parton this holiday season.

"You could sing me a beautiful Christmas song. That'd be a great gift to me," she replied.

And with that, the a capella group went into a beautiful performance of "Silent Night." Impressed by what she heard, Parton couldn't help but to join in with the singers.

This is far from Pentatonix's first run-in with the big-haired star. In fact, the group have performed with the country legend on their YouTube page, as well as on an episode of The Voice.

In addition to sharing the spotlight with Pentatonix, Parton recently hosted a telethon to help the victims of the Tennessee wildfires. The telethon raised $9 million dollars and counting.
