Celebrating its 51st year as one of the highly anticipated festivals in Texas, Turkeyfest has just announced its music line-up, schedule of events, and tickets for sale too!

Mark your calendar for the  51st Annual Cuero Turkeyfest on October 13th through the 15th! Tickets are on sale now too!

My mother was born and raised in Cuero Texas and even though we traveled extensively as a kid, I can still remember the thrill and the vibe of being at a smaller Texas town festival. In fact, if my momma can find it, I still have a sepia-tone photo that was taken with me at the parade during one of the earliest Turkeyfests in the 70's.

Cuero's Turkyfest is fun for the whole family and it's for a good cause too.

The Cuero Turkeyfest is a non-profit community-run organization founded in 1973 as an annual small-town celebration of area agricultural history. Its founding purpose was to create a vehicle for local civic organizations to raise money for their various endeavors.

Turkeyfest is routinely able to give back to these organizations throughout the year through the generosity of its festival patrons, volunteers, and sponsors.

This year's ticket holders can expect three days of incredible live music, a BBQ cookoff, a parade, and of course the BIG RACE! I still remember being a big fan of Ruby Begonia even as a little person.
