Skeeter’s Found a Home!

If you read a post I put up here last week, you know that my wife Sweetie and I have been hunting for a house to rent in Victoria. Well, y'all can stop searching for us now...we've found a home! It's a nice house on the northeast side of Victoria, with plenty of room for me, Sweetie, my "bonus" son, Kris (who lives with us due to a physical disability), our three dogs and 2 cats. We hope to be all moved in before the end of April.

Heartbleed Hit List: Passwords You Need to Change Right Now

This has been a big news story for the past day or so: an encryption flaw (basically, a "hole" in the security of some websites) called the "Heartbleed" bug has been discovered. Here's a breakdown of which of the websites' passwords you should change, and the ones you don't necessarily need to.

Lecture: Ancient DNA by Dr. Kelly Graf

Fascinating stuff! The ancient skeleton of a child was discovered near the village of Mal’ta in south-central Siberia in the late-1920's. A recent DNA analysis of the skeleton, believed to be 24,000 years old, has shown that the Mal’ta child’s people were ancestors of modern Native Americans, suggesting First Americans came directly from Siberia.

Skeeter’s Looking For A House To Rent

Yes, it's true. My wife Sweetie and I need a house to rent somewhere in or around Victoria, preferably no more than a 20 minute drive into town. We need at least 3 bedrooms and would like to have 2 bathrooms, if possible. We also have 3 dogs (housebroken) and 2 cats (they use a box). All have been spayed/neutered (the animals, not the people!). We need to move (from El Campo) ASAP!
