I have always been a big fan of world records.  I would love to hold a few of my own but you know there is so much that goes into it, it will take a lot of time to achieve.  These two daredevils decided to ring in the new year with incredible record-setting stunts.

Levi LaVallee and Robbie Madison soared through the air on a snowmobile and a motocross bike over the San Diego harbor, side by side.  The 412 ft snowmobile jump shattered last years record by 51 feet and the motocross touched down at 378 ft.

Last year LaVallee tried the same stunt but suffered multiple injuries in a crash that were life threatening.  He obviously recovered but as far as the injuries go he suffered collapsed lungs, broken pelvis, cracked ribs, and a concussion.  For most people something like this would have caused him to never ride a snowmobile again but to do the same stunt and shatter the record is priceless, motivating, and impressive.
