Victory Auto Group’s Scholar & Athlete of the Week River Bergman

Get ready Crossroads, Victory Auto Group has chosen a triple whammy with this weeks Athlete AND Scholar of the week, Yoakum High School senior, River Bergman. 

Go Bulldogs!

River is not only one of the senior Bulldog lineman on Yoakum High School's football team, as a District 3A Varsity Football playoffs 1-1 player, Victory Auto Group's pick of the week is also the lead Drum Major for the proud and spirited Bulldog Marching Band.

But wait, there is more! Much more!

River is on the powerlifting team as a state level powerlifter maxing at 1375 pounds and a 625 squat! He is a part of the National Honors Society and a member of student council.

He has competed at UIL's State March Band competition for the last two years and ATSSB All - State Band as a trombone player his junior year. He is advancing to Area in the UIL Marching Band Competition this year too.

 Yet, River's accomplishments still don't stop there.

His hard work and determination is paying off and as a senior balancing all of his responsibilities, he still maintains a strong 3.87 GPA.  And if it seems like River's plate is full, he also still makes time to volunteer at the famous Gaslight Theater!

River, you are going places young man. BIG PLACES!
