How Texas A&M Victoria's Arrival Energized The Community

On Thursday evening, the community came together to celebrate and welcome Texas A&M University - Victoria to the Crossroads. The turnout was massive. I have never seen that many people in downtown Victoria on a Thursday night. Welcome to Victoria, Texas A&M!

People were everywhere in downtown Victoria!

Hundreds of event goers scored new exclusive Texas A&M - Victoria merch. The line extended down Main Street for a portion of the night! The Green Cow Creamery also introduced a brand-new flavor of Texas A&M - Victoria ice cream and handed out over 500 samples. It appears that our community is 100 percent behind the new Texas A&M University - Victoria.

Live music took over the celebration with the Staudt Brothers.

At the celebration were some of the biggest businesses in Victoria, alongside cheer squads from area schools and mascots including the Chick-fil-A Cow and HEBuddy. After the official introductions, the crowd was treated to a high energy show featuring the Staudt Brothers, who will also perform art the Crossroads BBQ & Brew Music Festival in downtown Victoria on Saturday, November 8.

Tejas Fest is the next big event for Victoria.

The next live music event in downtown Victoria will be Tejas Fest, taking place on Friday, October 3, and Saturday, October 4. Festival season in Victoria will conclude with our very own Crossroads BBQ and Brew Music Festival on Saturday, November 8.
