Warrior’s Weekend Field of Honor Flag Posting Event
A proud tradition for Victoria, the Warrior's Weekend Field of Honor Flag Posting, is scheduled for October 17th this year, with opportunities to volunteer available.
Considered a living tribute to the heroism of the men and women who have served and sacrificed for this great nation, the Field of Honor is a spectacular sight to see, built with great pride as every flag honors this freedom.
Located at the Field of Honor next to Parkway Church at 4802 John Stockbauer, the flag posting and honor ceremonies have been a way to honor military veterans and serving military members and their families for over a decade now, just as Warrior's Weekend has been a tradition for fourteen years in Port O'Connor as well.
Sadly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Warrior's Weekend's 14th anniversary had to be canceled but as supporters and volunteers concur, this will only mean that Warrior's Weekend's 15th anniversary, scheduled for May 2021 will be even better.
Flag posting will be held on October 17th from 8:30 am to 6 pm at Parkway Church.
You can be a part of a new tradition at this year's event as well.
According to the Warrior's Weekend Field of Honor Facebook page, " This year for the first time we are honoring our defenders/Veterans along with First Responders and COVID-19 Medical Responders!! Victoria PD, Victoria FD, Victoria Co FD, Victoria Sheriff's Office, and State Troopers are partners this year!"
