Victoria's mayor, Mr. Rawley McCoy will be the guest speaker at the Victoria Chamber of Commerce, next Wednesday during a luncheon at the Victoria Community Center Dome. If you're interested in attending the luncheon, you need to register by noon tomorrow. The topic of conversation will be the current state of our community, specifically in regard to the effects of COVID-19 on our community as well as on the state of Victoria regarding the disease itself.

Mayor McCoy is a Victoria native and an architect. He is the founder of Rawley McCoy & Associates, which an architectural firm in Victoria credited with designing local buildings and institutions like the Leo J. Welder for Performing Arts Center and the Victoria College Emerging Technology Center. He became the mayor of Victoria in May of 2019.

Jeff Lyon, the President of the Victoria Chamber of Commerce offers, "I think Mayor McCoy is going to address how local businesses will emerge after the pandemic especially in regard to growth and economic development, with a focus on the importance of shopping local."

It sounds like this will be an important discussion specifically for local businesses in the Crossroads and that Mayor McCoy will have a gamut of topics to cover during his presentation.
