It's something everyone has begun to notice, gas prices are rising and there is uncertainty as to when they will stop. There are tons of gas stations all around Victoria but where can you go to get the best bang for your buck?

Don't worry, we've done the leg work for you. We hopped in the Pooks-Mobile and traveled around Victoria on the hunt for some of the lowest - and highest- gas prices in town.

NATIONAL VS VICTORIA

Gas prices are pretty steep and the national average comes in at $3.72. There is a good middle ground with gas prices in Victoria but there are a few that stand out. We checked out more than 15 gas stations around the area and jotted down regular and premium gas prices.

SURPRISINGLY LOW

Surprisingly, at the time, Walmart on Houston Hwy had a significantly lower price than the rest of the town with regular grade costing only $3.05.

BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK

If you can catch the gas before it rises, Walmart on 59 is at its lowest, as of 3/3/2022, 1:45 pm. If you use premium your best shot is at Speedy Stop on 59 and John Stockbauer- we should point out, at the time these prices were documented this specific location ONLY had premium gas available. Also, you might want to avoid Shell on Navarro and Zac Lentz if you use premium since their prices are over 4 bucks a gallon.

THE SILVER LINING

Rising gas prices suck but if we're looking for a silver lining- and we are- now is the perfect time to get a loyalty card from your favorite gas station, and rack up those points you will get from filling up on gas.
