Have you been thinking about trying something new? Maybe an art or craft that interests you? Summer is a great time to try something new,  and the Victoria Art League is there to get you started!

William Vickery will offer a stained glass class from 10 a.m. to noon starting July 7 and continuing for five consecutive Saturdays until Aug. 4. Cost is $100. Try something new and different by contacting him at 361-235-2416.

Then starting July 16, there will be a two-week workshop for beginners in pottery. It will meet for four days for instruction and building, then be off for six days for the pottery to dry and be fired and meet again to glaze your projects, off another day to glaze fire them and then meet for our final class. Two classes will be offered, one from 1 to 4 p.m. and another from 6 to 9 p.m.

Also for those who have taken the beginners class or already have pottery experience, a follow up class will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon on the same days. All classes will be $125 for six three hour sessions, which includes all materials and supplies. Contact  361-575-3216 or 361-649-8309 if you have questions about any of these.

Michele Evans still has openings for children's art classes. So if your child or grandchild needs "something to do," give her a call at 361-572-8093
