According to the latest news from the Victoria Economic Development Corporation, Mr. Dale Fowler who has served the Crossroads business community as President of the Victoria Economic Development Corporation for the last twenty years has announced his resignation.

The VEDC was formed in 1982 as a private economic development organization created to serve the City of Victoria, Victoria County, and the surrounding areas, impacting Victoria's economic development by recruiting new businesses to the area and serving existing businesses as well.

According to the Victoria Economic Development Corporation website, Mr. Fowler announced his resignation as President of the VEDC offering sincerely, “It has been an honor and a privilege to be part of the VEDC team and I am very proud of our accomplishments over the years,” Mr. Fowler continues, “Please accept my sincere appreciation for allowing me to lead the VEDC team for the past 20 years in our efforts to grow job opportunities and create a new tax base for the community.

The press release goes on to say that, "The VEDC Board will grant Mr. Fowler’s request with a deep appreciation for his professionalism and steadfast work to the mission of the organization and economic development for more than two decades."

Mr. Fowler is credited with successfully leading the recruitment and expansions of major industrial businesses to Victoria resulting in a diversified and stronger economy for our community. He had previously served seventeen years at American Electric Power.

We had a chance to speak to Mr.Fowler earlier today and he told us he is on to "new adventures and new opportunities." We are pleased to report that he plans to continue to serve our community and we wish Mr. Fowler the best while thanking him for his continued service to our community.
